Christopher J. Massaro

Co-Founder & Partner

Chris has more than 25 years of experience in executive search and career management, investment banking, international finance, and business operations. Chris has been entrusted with conducting leadership searches in education for prestigious K-12 Independent Private schools, Public schools, Non-profit organizations, as well as emerging to Fortune 500 companies.  In addition to The Source Advisory, Chris serves as Senior Vice President of Management and Economics Consulting, Inc. (MAECI), an international management consulting firm as has specific experience in Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to Co-founding The Source Advisory, Mr. Massaro served as President of CJM Strategies, a private middle market investment banking firm, was a Vice President with Gottesman Company, the largest middle market investment banking firm in the U.S., and spent over 15 years as an owner and Executive Vice President of Vilotti-Puratos, a $25 million food manufacturing and distribution company. He serves on the board of directors for The Cancer Foundation for Personal Wellness, Radnor Alumni Council, and is on the Board of Trustees of Radnor Educational Foundation.  For the past 8 years, Chris has pioneered entrepreneurship and internship programs (Campus to Careers) within K-12 schools, and Mr. Massaro holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Villanova University.

Al Cavalli

Vice President - Education - Charter Schools, Therapeutic Schools, Private Schools

Mr. Cavalli has been committed to helping children learn, grow, and succeed as a life-long passion, spanning 40 years. Al is an Education Executive with experience as an education/operations/financial consultant, that had held titles of vice president of operations, president and chief executive officer for education and mental health organizations. Most recently was President of the Independence Mission Schools and a Strategic Advisor to the Board. Previously served as CEO of the LVARCS and the former CEO/President of the Shawnee Academy and the Beacon School.

Mr. Cavalli has specific expertise and experience within the Charter School System which encompasses all aspects of school development, superior authorizer-school relations, contracts, evaluation, federal revenue management practices, charter law compliance and over compliance and technical assistance. In addition, Mr. Cavalli has significant experience with non-profit and for-profit organizations in strategic planning, organizational design, leadership, professional development, and financial viability planning. Early in Al’s career, he served as a school leader working with disadvantaged and troubled youth, gaining a special appreciation for the difficult roles of administrative and teaching staff. Al has presented and provided training on a state and local level and continues to develop partnerships with charter schools, private schools, alternative education, special education, and mental health programs.

Mr. Cavalli received an MSA from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Accounting from Saint Joseph’s University.

Jean Williams

Search Consultant

Jean is a professional in the field of education with extensive experience in school administration and educational leadership.  She left independent private school administration in 2010 after serving in various administrative positions throughout her 34-year tenure.  These positions included:  Assistant Head of School for Academic Affairs and Professional Development, Assistant Head of School for Academic Affairs and Strategic Planning, and Head of Special Projects. She also served as staff liaison to the full Board of Trustees, Executive Committee, Board Governance Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, and Long Range Planning Committee. Jean has a BA in mathematics from George Washington University and Master of Education from the University of Virginia.
